Safety course


This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

  • Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age as per WA Skills Training policy
  • All Students must have sound knowledge in English reading and writing skills
  • Students who may require additional support are encouraged to inform WA Skills Training staff prior to commencing the course

1 day course

This 1 day course is delivered in the Welshpool and Bunbury Training Centres and the client’s workplace by arrangement.

  • Practical

This is a closed book assessment

On successful completion of the theory, calculations, and practical assessments; a Statement of Attainment will be issued for the unit of competency: HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
