Introduction - Non Accredited
This information session provides students with an understanding of the legal obligations and requirements of mine managers, and persons appointed by them, on mine sites.
These persons are appointed by the principal employer, manager or authorised person, for whom they work, to assist them in fulfilling their compliance obligations under the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 and the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 (Western Australia).
The course will ensure that students are familiar with the responsibilities of mine management, as defined by the Act, in terms of maintaining health and safety.
- Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age as per WA Skills Training policy
- All Students must have sound knowledge in English reading and writing skills
- Students who may require additional support are encouraged to inform WA Skills Training staff prior to commencing the course

Upon successful completion of this course you will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in accordance with our Issuance Policy and Procedure
WA Skills Training requires a minimum of 25% deposit to secure a booking, or you can choose to pay in full at the time of the booking. Payment can be made by credit card in person or over the phone, or via bank transfer. Final payment is required to be paid in full prior to course commencement.
